In Sätra student housing, you have close proximity to, among other things, jogging trails, trotting, ice hockey, and football arenas. There is also the opportunity to play floorball, tennis, and work out at the gym. At Gavlevallen, you’ll find Sportoteket – here you can borrow a variety of sports equipment completely free of charge. Sätra centrum is only a few hundred meters away from Campus. There you will find, among other things, ICA – the local grocery store, pharmacy, hairdresser, several restaurants, and a café.
First time in Gävle
If you arrive to the train station in Gävle you can take the bus to Gavlegårdarnas office in Hemsta. You have to go to Norra Kungsgatan (Rådhustorget) and take bus numer 3 or 14. (See map)
- Bus no 14 goes to ”Spängersleden” and stops outside our office. (Best choice)
- Bus no 3 goes to Södra Kungsgatan ”Hemsta” (There from you hav to walk by ”Skolgången” and turn to ”Utanvindsvägen”.
After receiving your keys to your student accommodation with us, we offer you a lift up to Sätra and show you to your apartment.

Where can I find the laundry room and how do I book it?
You’ll find our laundry rooms at Pinnmovägen 18 (Drop in) and Pinnmovägen 22 (booking is required).

Is there a public transport from Sätra?
Bus line 15 takes you directly to the University. To get to central Gävle, buses number 2 and 3 go down to the City Hall from Sätra.
You buy a bus ticket in the X-trafik app and pay with a bank card. You can also pay directly on the bus, but at a slightly higher fee.

What do I do whith my waste?
Everyone living at Gavlegårdarna must sort their household waste. You do this in the recycling rooms located at Glaciärvägen 1 and in the parking area at Pinnmovägen. Household waste and food waste are thrown into the underground containers located outside your recycling room. Food waste should be thrown into the brown paper bags and must not be enclosed in, for example, a plastic bag.

How do I report a fault in my accommodation?
If you need to report a fault in your accommodation, go to www.gavlegardarna.se and report it via our chat on weekdays between 7 am and 4 pm. You can also send a message to info@gavlegardarna.se or call 026-17 27 00.

What do I do in case of an emergency?
The emergency number 112 should only be used in acute emergencies when there is a danger to life, property, or the environment.

What can I do in Gävle?
If you want to do something fun in your spare time, there is a lot to do in Gävle. In addition to sports and exercise, you can visit our fine railway museum, shop at Valbo Shopping Center or go to the cinema at Filmstaden, located in Gallerian Nian on Stortorget.
